The Racing Beat RX-7 Header with Heat Exchanger Outlet Flange is intended for use on the 1979-1980 RX-7. This header will replace the thermal reactor unit and bolt-up directly to the inlet of the stock heat exchanger, or the Racing Beat Mini Power Pulse Presilencer unit. When used along with the Mini-Presilencer, the outlet of the presilencer will mate to the stock connecting pipe and provide a complete bolt-on configuration.
While replacing the stock heat exchanger with a presilencer does not offer any significant horsepower increase, for racing applications we recommend replacing the heat exchanger with our presilencer to reduce exhaust noise.
Included with the header:
Air Control and Check Valve Cover Plate
Heat Exchanger Cover Plate (to cover the opening when the heat exchanger tubing is removed.)
Header Outlet Gasket (header-to-heat exchanger)
