This ADAPTRONIC RX8 S1 Plug-in Select ECU is designed specifically for the series 1 Mazda RX8 . It’s a direct plug-in to the factory wiring and connects in series with the factory ECU. It is not an interceptor; it’s a piggyback ECU so you have full control over fuel, ignition and the ports.

This ECU also supports all the functions of the 440 ECU, however for advanced functions such as traction control, additional wiring and/or sensors will be necessary:
Flex fuel function – fill it up with gas/petrol or any ethanol concentration

Launch control, antilag, flat shift and boost by gear all standard
Serial input for wideband O2 sensors (we recommend the MTXL)

Notes for RX8 installation: 1. If you’re doing your own tuning, we recommend replacing the front O2 sensor with a wideband lambda sensor.
2. The factory ECU requires the airflow meter for idle control.
3. If the idle speed needs to be raised due to porting, we recommend to send us the factory ECU or using a reflashing tool to do this.
